Our name, Artisan Knobs, springs from the tradition of artisan as artist, a basic tenet of the American Arts and Crafts movement, in which the intention of the artist lives through his craftsmanship. This excellence is immediately evident in the beauty and quality of the hardware coming from the studio of ARTISAN KNOBS. ARTISAN KNOBS is a division of Artisan Sonoma Pottery, located in the Sonoma Valley, north of San Francisco. All of the work from our kilns originates from the hands of David Ross. David has been working as a professional potter for over 25 years. Influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement, and the consummate skills of Japanese and Chinese pottery masters, Ross' art pottery is now sold in select galleries around the US . His work has also been featured in Designers' West magazine and Style and Spirit: Craftspeople of the Revival by Chase Reynolds Ewald.
