Getting Creative With Door Knobs

Choosing the right door knobs is not as easy of a task as you might think, and chances are that it is not a subject most people think too much about. We just use those handles and knobs every day without giving them much thought at all. You might look at the door handles in your home one day, though, and realize that they are completely outdated and are actually bringing the décor of the rooms down. At this point, you will find that there is a stunning array of everything from glass door knobs to chrome door handles available on he market, and they might all seem like a good choice. The problem is that you can't take the entire collection of door knobs home with you, and while it can be an attractive choice to place different knobs in different rooms, they should still flow together and create a common theme. Most people prefer to keep consistency with their door handles throughout the house, or at least throughout each area of the house. If you have glass door knobs on the front of your home, for example, you will probably not want to install chrome door handles right at the entrance to the front office that is visible as soon as people enter the house. There is room for a lot of creativity with door handles and knobs, though, especially when you get into the bedrooms of the home (children's bedrooms or guest rooms in particular). It can be fun to choose door knobs with a theme that coordinates with the room, such as a beach theme or a jungle theme in the guest bedroom, or a ladybug theme in a child's bedroom. An antique theme is also popular, and glass door knobs accented with classic brass can be the perfect choice for this type of look. Chrome door handles, on the other hand, might be more appropriate for a modern look.
